Woman critically injured after Gold Coast motorway crash
Police are investigating a crash on the Gold Coast overnight that left a woman with critical injuries.
The road accident happened at about 7.25pm yesterday at Molendinar when a yellow sedan driving at speed crashed into the rear of a ute.
The ute had been travelling south at on the Smith Street onramp to the Pacific Motorway when it has slowed to merge into the traffic.

The two people in the sedan were taken to hospital.
The passenger, a 32-year-old woman, was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
The 34-year-old man driving the car was also hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.
Three lanes of the Pacific Highway were closed after the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
