Modest boost to veterans' pensions

War veterans and widows are to receive a modest boost to their pensions from April 13.

Single war veterans will receive an extra $11.20 a fortnight, while war widows will pocket an extra $11.50, following indexation.

Totally and permanently incapacitated veterans will receive an extra $17.40 a fortnight.
