Mitch Marsh in doubt for Fourth Test

Mitch Marsh's hopes of playing the fourth Test against India have suffered a setback, with the allrounder sent for another scan on his injured leg.

Marsh tweaked his hamstring on day one of the second Test and the Australian young gun was unable to bowl in the rest of the match.

Marsh was ruled out of the Boxing Day Test, but travelled with the squad to Melbourne.

The 23-year-old was upbeat he would be passed fit for the SCG Test, but felt a niggle after running on Boxing Day.

Coach Darren Lehmann, speaking a day after Australia's four-wicket win over India at the Gabba, suggested he would take no risk with Marsh.

"He's just not 100 percent with his hamstring. He can still feel it when he's running," Lehmann said.

"We certainly don't want to take any risks on players.

"It's a case of making sure he's right. We've got a very big summer ahead."

Marsh's strain was his fifth hamstring injury in a tick over two years.
