'He's somewhere': Queensland community joins forces in search for missing police dog
The handler of missing police dog Quizz has spoken out, as the local Queensland community rallies behind search efforts.
A hundred-person search party of police, locals, and air crews have been trawling the Ipswich area, west of Brisbane.
"It's that feeling of hopelessness that he's somewhere, I can't get him, I can't find him, I can't keep him safe. It tears you apart," Daniel McGreevy, Quizz's handler, said.

Quizz was separated from his handler Tuesday morning after attempting to track a teen fleeing a stolen car.
If there is no sign of the police dog by Sunday afternoon, search efforts will be scaled back.
"The search understandably will be scaled back but we'll never give up hope," Michael Thesaw from Queensland Police said.

Police Dog Quizz is a three-year-old sabel german shepherd with a black and tan hide.
He is wearing a black tracking harness with a long tracking lead.
"We ask for the members of the public that may see what appears to be the police dog that any information we get is vitally important to progressing this search and locating the dog safely," Inspector Michael Thiesfield said.

Though he is not considered dangerous, members of the public are urged to not approach PD Quizz if they see him.
Instead, they should call police immediately on 131 444.
"I don't just need him back, you know. We need him back in the family, we need him back in Ipswich," Mr McGreevy said.
