Mum and newborn daughter missing from Sydney's eastern beaches found safe and well

Police say a mother and her 12-day-old baby girl from Sydney's easter beaches have been found safe and well after an appeal to help find them.

The pair had last been seen at Little Bay about 11am on Valentine's Day.

NSW Police issued an alert, urging the mother to contact them.

"The mother and daughter reported missing from Sydney's eastern beaches today have been found safe and well," NSW Police said tonight.

"The pair attended Burwood Police Station about 8pm this evening with a friend.

"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance."
