Missing Melbourne mum closed Facebook account days before vanishing

Missing Melbourne mother Elisa Curry closed down her Facebook account in the days before her disappearance, it has been revealed.

Ms Curry, 43, was reported missing on Sunday, after her husband and children returned to the family's holiday house in Airey's Inlet.

There have been suggestions her marriage to husband David was in trouble, and A Current Affair understands she had been embroiled in family disputes about an inheritance.

However, A Current Affair is not suggesting any family member was involved in her disappearance.

Ms Curry, an avid runner, had also not used her Fitbit in several days.

Police have searched the family home in Surrey Hills, but found nothing relevant.

They earlier said they would have to scale back the search if they had not made a breakthrough by 4pm today, and that deadline has now passed.

However, police said they would resume the search tomorrow as they had not covered all the ground they wanted to.

Police have traced her movements to about 10.30pm on the Saturday before she vanished.

It is understood Ms Curry watched the AFL Grand Final with a friend at her beach house, and then had a visit from the neighbours.

After the neighbours left, the female neighbour returned and had a conversation with Ms Curry police have said was personal in nature.

At 10pm, the neighbour left and has said Ms Curry appeared to be going to bed.

At 10.30pm, Ms Curry's phone is detected by a phone tower at the house.

Police initially believed Mrs Curry had set off on a run with the dog.

However, at 6pm on Monday, the family's black Labrador was found roaming the street alone.

An extensive land, water and air search continued today, with police knocking on doors and intensely searching within a 300-metre radius of the holiday home.

Police have not ruled out suspicious circumstances in Mrs Curry's disappearance, but are also investigating the possibility she was lost or injured on a long run.
