Missing man's remains found in Central Australia

Remains of a man who went missing in remote Central Australia 15 months ago have been found. 

Denny Jones was last seen near Burt Creek Outstation - 60 kilometres north of Alice Springs - in June last year. 

It's believed the 48-year-old suffered a mental health episode before running into bushes. 

Police scoured the area from the ground and air, but referred the case to the Missing Persons Unit after failing to locate him. 

His remains were found on Monday afternoon, near the Yambah Station Homestead.
