A 25-year-old man has been found after going missing in a national park in Victoria.

A major search was launched for Andy, whose last name has not been given.

He was camping with 14 others in Murray-Sunset National Park in the state's north-west.

He left the Shearers Quarters camping area by himself to hike the 8km Millewa South Bore Track towards the South Australian border about 11am yesterday.

Police, Air Wing, Dog Squad, Mounted Branch and Search and Rescue Squad officers as well as the State Emergency Service (SES) are searching for Andy.

They were worried as he has limited hiking experience and has been gone for more than 24 hours.

He sheltered in place overnight and was found by local police on West Settlement Track about 1.30pm, unhurt.
