Ministers to discuss MH370 search future

The next steps in the search for MH370 will be discussed at a meeting of transport ministers from Australia, China and Malaysia later this week.

The tripatrite meeting was initially scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Kuala Lumpur, but will now be held in Putrajaya on Friday as less than 10,000 square kilometres of the search zone remains to be scoured.

The three countries agreed last year to not extend the search area in the southern Indian Ocean in the absence of any new credible evidence pointing to the jetliner's whereabouts.
