Milo snack bars recalled over contamination alert
A popular school snack is being recalled over contamination concerns following the discovery of rubber pieces in the product.
Authorities have issued a recall notice for Nestle's Milo Original Snack Bars sold at stores in multiple states over the discovery of "foreign matter" inside the bars.
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand warns the bits of black rubber pose potential safety hazards.

"Food products containing black rubber may cause illness or injury if consumed," it said.
"Consumers should not eat this product.
"Consumers should return the product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund.
"Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice."
Nestle says a contract manufacturer experienced an equipment failure at its facility, resulting in small pieces of black rubber being dislodged during production of the products.
The Milo Dipped Snack bars 270g Box, 960g Box & 160g Box and MILO Original Snack Bars 210g Box have been sold in ALDI, Coles, Woolworths and independent retailers including IGA in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, SA, WA and online.
The Milo Dipped Snack Bars and Milo Snack Bars Original have best before dates showing "end of August 2026".
The batch numbers include: 5316TD15, 5317TD15, 5318TD15, 5321TD15, 5322TD15 and 5323TD15, 5324TD15.
