A truck driver has been charged after NSW Police allegedly found more than $2.75 million in cash stashed in shopping bags in his vehicle.
The wads of cash were seized by police at a Yass service station, in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, after it was allegedly smuggled from Adelaide.
NSW Police said officers working with the Australian Border Force stopped the 52-year-old man on Thursday night and searched his prime mover truck.

They allegedly found five Woolworths esky bags brimming with more than $2.75 million in cash, as well as a stash of cannabis, a mobile phone and some electronic equipment.
Police believe the South Australian man was transporting the money between Adelaide and Sydney.

The man was charged with recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime and possessing a prohibited drug.
He is due to face Goulburn Local Court on Friday.
