Baird takes time off campaign to celebrate 25th wedding anniversary

NSW Premier Mike Baird is taking a rare night off from the election campaign to celebrate his wedding anniversary, four days before the polls close.

Mr Baird opened his Northern Beaches home to 9NEWS, as he and his wife Kerryn headed out to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. 

"It's nice to take some quiet time, in the busy time that we've had," Mrs Baird said.

Mr Baird said: "No matter what happens in life and elections, ultimately your marriage, your children, your family is what's most important."

The Premier is back on the campaign trail tomorrow.

Four days can be a long time in politics, but Sportsbet says the result is a done deal. 

The betting agency is paying out for a Coalition win, before a single vote is counted. 

Earlier today, Mr Baird pledged $12 million for a $60 million Western Sydney sports centre in Penrith.

Opposition leader Luke Foley headed north to shore up support on coal seam gas.

The opposition also seized on reports the government is looking to China as a buyer for state's electricity assets.
