The Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger is expecting a baby with his partner of two years, ballerina Melanie Hamrick.
The 72-year-old and his 29-year-old partner are reportedly three months into the pregnancy and are said to be “over the moon”, according to UK newspaper The Sun.
The baby will be Jagger’s eighth addition to his brood, which ranges from 45-year-old Karis Hunt Jagger to 17-year-old Lucas Morad-Jagger.
Jagger is reportedly planning to move to Los Angeles with his partner – who is based in New York – or to Connecticut, to be near her family.
The announcement comes two months after guitarist Ronnie Wood became a father to twins at the age of 68.
The Sun said a band spokesperson confirmed the news after they were told by an “anonymous US source".
Jagger’s other children include 44-year-old Jade Jagger with his ex-wife Bianca, 32-year-old Elizabeth, 30-year-old James, 23-year-old Georgia and 18-year-old Gabriel Jagger, with ex-partner Jerry Hall.
