Man charged over alleged $11m meth imported into NSW as 'hospital bedsheets'
A 20-year-old man has been charged with allegedly attempting to get his hands on 12 kilograms of methamphetamine allegedly imported into New South Wales from the United States.
The huge haul has a reported street value of $11 million and is enough to supply 120,000 individual hits.
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) launched an investigation in September after Border Force officers uncovered the drugs in a package labelled as hospital bedsheets.

On October 24, the East Melbourne man allegedly attempted to collect the package from an address in Padstow in south-west Sydney, when AFP officers swooped and arrested him.
He has since been charged with attempting to possess a commercial quantity of unlawful drugs and possessing identification information with the intention of committing an offence.
The first charge carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
Australia is one of the most lucrative markets in the world for methamphetamines, with one gram selling for as much as $600.
