A three-month-old baby who was the sole survivor of a horror crash that killed a young mum and a toddler in Sydney's south earlier this week has died in hospital.

Katrina Sila was driving on the Hume Motorway at Menangle Park when she attempted a U-turn and collided with a cement truck on Monday morning.

Both Sila and her two-year-old son died at the scene, while her baby daughter was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital.
