Fallen power line on Punt Road. (9NEWS)
Melbourne motorists can expect delays in parts of the CBD this afternoon due to a fallen powerline on Punt Road – one of Melbourne’s busiest arterials.
The powerline has fallen on the corner of Domain Road and Toorak Road, forcing the closure of all southbound lanes and on closed northbound, VicRoads advised.

Motorists have been advised to seek an alternative route.
In a separate incident, a tram has derailed on the corner of the Nepean Highway and Carlisle Street, St Kilda.
A signal failure that was earlier causing delays on the city loop train line has since been rectified.
