Man shot at Melbourne home

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was shot in Melbourne's north-west.

The man, 53, was shot on Bellevue Boulevard in Hillside about 9.40am.

He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating whether the gunman and the victim are known to each other.

Police say the incident is not believed to be linked to any other recent shootings.

No one is yet in police custody.
