Man charged with murder over woman’s death at Melbourne home

A man has been charged with murder, accused of killing a woman at her home in Melbourne’s east.

Victoria Police confirmed in a statement that a 68-year-old man from Clayton South was arrested yesterday before being charged over the 57-year-old woman’s death.

Authorities located the woman’s body at her home in Burwood East about 9.40am yesterday.

The man remains in police custody and is expected to appear at the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court today.

Detectives have also said they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the alleged murder.
