A Melbourne mother and two children were lucky to escape injury after a mysterious explosion last night.
Police said they are investigating the blast, which occurred in Songlark Crescent in Werribee at about 10.15pm.

The "large and very loud" explosion imploded two windows of the property.
Two teenage boys, who were in their bedroom at the time, escaped injury because their window blinds stopped them from being showered with broken glass.
Detectives and local police are investigating the incident and have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
