Melbourne man in coma after Bali hit-and-run

The family of an Australian man who is in a coma after a hit-and-run in Bali are trying to raise $100,000 to get him medevaced home.

Melbourne man Nicholas White was knocked off his motorbike by a car in Kerobokan and left on the road four days ago, 3AW reports.

Mr White has lived in Bali for two years and is currently in a Denpasar hospital, his sister Jessie told the radio station.

"They induced a coma which they actually tried to take him out of but they didn’t have so much luck," she said.

"So we've now been told it's a long-term situation.

"We're desperate to get him back, he needs to get home to Australia."

The family have launched an appeal for money to bring him home for medical treatment.
