Melbourne man dies in dirt bike crash on Huskisson Avenue in Lalor

A man riding an unregistered dirt bike has died after crashing into a power pole in Melbourne.

Police say the man failed to negotiate a right-hand bend and was thrown from the bike when it struck a power pole on Huskisson Avenue in Lalor just after 10am.

The 44-year-old Epping man died at the scene.

Huskisson Avenue remains closed near Kingsway Drive.
