Man diving with group drowns off Melbourne beach

A man has died in an apparent drowning off a Melbourne beach this morning.
The 61-year-old was found dead after diving with three friends off Altona Beach.
He became separated from the group before he was found dead.

He could not be revived.
His death takes Victoria's drowning toll to 21 over the summer.
The body of a woman was also found in the Yarra River in Hawthorn just after 3pm.
Her death is under investigation.
