Melbourne court and uni basements flooded

A burst water main has partly flooded a law court and neighbouring university premises in Melbourne's CBD.
The ruptured pipe flooded the basements of the buildings up to street level on Saturday afternoon.
Power was isolated and water supplies were urgently halted while MFB firefighters worked for hours to pump water from the properties and keep the area safe.

The Victoria University building, which is being renovated, sustained minimal damage.
However, the Supreme Court sustained "notable" damage to an office and storage area, the MFB said.
No injuries were reported.
A council surveyor will examine the area once the salvage operation is over.
