Major Melbourne train station reopens after seven hours
A major train station in Melbourne's CBD has reopened to passengers after it was closed for several hours this morning.
A water leak caused Melbourne Central station to close about 5am, as maintenance teams worked to repair pipes.
Station access is currently only available via the Elizabeth Street entrance until further notice.

Passengers are advised that lifts are not operating at the station, with access between the station platforms accessible by escalator only.
Passengers heading to Melbourne Central requiring lift access are advised to travel to City Loop stations and connect via tram service.
Connections with trains are available via tram services on La Trobe Street (Route 30) to Flagstaff Station, trams on Bourke Street (routes 86 and 96) to Southern Cross and Parliament stations.
