Medibank wins 2 more years on defence

Defence has added another two years onto the Medibank Health Solutions contract to provide a range of health services to defence personnel at bases across Australia.

Medibank Health Solutions, an arm of Medibank health insurance, was awarded the $1.3 billion three-year contract for on-base health support, pathology, imaging and radiology and a 24-hour national health hotline.

Defence said this extension, which expires in October 2018, would produce further efficiencies by streamlining delivery of health services and optimising current services.
