‌Driver charged over crash that killed two teen boys in Sydney

A 17-year-old boy has been charged over a horror crash that killed two teenage boys in Sydney's west last week.

All three teenagers were inside a Nissan 200SX sedan that slammed into a power pole on Windsor Road in McGraths Hill about 9.40pm on January 15.

The two passengers suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

The driver was treated by paramedics for chest and internal injuries before he was taken to Westmead Hospital, where he was later discharged.

Police believe the Nissan and a Ford Falcon sedan had allegedly collided immediately before it struck the pole.

The driver of the Ford stopped at the scene following the crash and called authorities.

Police arrested and charged the 17-year-old driver of the Nissan last night.

‌He has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death, and two counts of negligent driving occasioning death.

‌He was refused bail and will appear in a children's court today.
