Masked activists urged to march on G20

Anonymous activists have been instructed to mask up and march on the G20 Leaders Summit in defiance of a ban on face coverings.

A call has been posted on Facebook site Op v20 urging Anonymous supporters to don masks and rally at the leaders summit in Brisbane on Saturday morning.

"Calling all anons far and wide to mask up and march on the Brisbane Convention Centre," the post says.

Under the G20 Act 2013, masks are banned within the security area.

It follows reports of online discussions among Anonymous supporters about wearing burqas in spite of a ban on face coverings.

Anonymous, a notorious hacktivist group, is well known for using Guy Fawkes masks.
