How much food and drinks will cost for footy fans at Marvel Stadium

Footy fans will be able to score a meat pie and hot chips for under $10, as Marvel Stadium unveils its food prices ahead of the AFL season.

With the AFL announcing pricing for popular food and drinks, it's set to make Marvel Stadium the cheapest AFL venue in Australia to buy a Four 'N Twenty pie.

There was a slight price increase from last year, with a pie now priced at $4.70, up from last year's $4.50.

Hot chips will also be priced at $4.90, while there will be a price freeze on hot dogs, with the price remaining at $6.00.

Hot Jam Donuts have been lowered from $6.50 to $5.00.

Marvel Stadium General Manager Scott Fitzgerald said it is important to keep prices affordable for fans.

"The cost of doing business continues to rise, however we wanted to make sure that cost wasn't passed on to footy fans when it comes to their favourite items on the menu," he said.

"It is cheaper to buy a hot Four'N Twenty Pie at Marvel Stadium than it is at the local servo."

The price of AFL general admission tickets in Melbourne will once again be frozen this season.

For the seventh straight season, general admission tickets will remain priced at $27 for adults at both the MCG and Marvel Stadium.

Concession tickets will also be held at $18, as will juniors aged 14 and under, priced at $5.

Food prices for the MCG are yet to be announced.

Tickets for this year's season go on sale to the general public at midday on February 19.

AFL and club members can snap up priority tickets for MCG and Marvel Stadium tickets 24 hours early, at 12pm on February 18.
