Mark Latham completes political comeback
Mark Latham’s political comeback is complete after he was elected to the NSW Upper House.
The former federal Labor leader is set to pick up a seat for One Nation in the NSW Legislative Council.
He was hopeful of reaching a second quota.

“At the moment we are tracking towards two quotas and when the metropolitan numbers are counted in the Legislative Council they are pretty encouraging,” Mr Latham told Channel Seven.
Mr Latham has called for DNA tests for Aboriginal welfare recipients and a reduction in immigration numbers.
His win may come at the expense of long-time Christian Democrats MLC Fred Nile.
The Christian Democrats lost a massive chunk of their Upper House vote.
Rev Nile is the longest serving member of NSW Parliament, with the MLC first elected in 1981.
All the major parties have shown swings against them in the upper house, with Labor, the Liberals, the Greens and the Coalition all losing ground in the vote count.
The Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party saw a big swing and are projected to win at least one seat.
