Police hunt man after string of armed robberies in Melbourne’s west

Police are hunting a man following a string of armed robberies in Melbourne's west. 

The man, who was wearing a black jumper, beanie and gloves, entered a restaurant on Ashley Street, Braybrook about 8.40pm on November 24.

He produced a firearm and made threats to staff before fleeing on a bicycle with stolen cash.

The same man is believed to have held up a service station on Williamsons Road, Maribyrnong about 10.15pm on November 27 where it’s believed he again produced a firearm and demanded cash. 

The man fled on bicycle down Williamsons Road.

Detectives are continuing to investigate a number of armed robberies in Maribyrnong and Braybrook and believe the two incidents are related to armed robberies committed  in Maribyrnong on 30 September and 17 October 2018.

Detectives have released CCTV vision of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived as Caucasian in appearance, between 20 and 30 years old, and about 170-180cm tall.
