He will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.

Forensic investigators scoured the Buist Street home after the discovery of a man’s body.

While the victim has not yet been formally identified, he is believed to be aged in his 60s.

A crime scene has been established and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad is assisting local police with the investigation.

The man, who is believed to live at the share home with three others, was last seen alive on Thursday night, police said.

"He was found by another resident at the location. It's a shared rental property," Detective Chief Inspector Glen Fitzgerald told reporters at the scene.

"We haven't ruled anything out yet ... we are still very early in this investigation."

Anyone with further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
