Man arrested following death of woman in Melbourne suburb of Kew

Police have arrested a man following the death of a woman in Kew in Melbourne's east earlier this week.

The 26-six-year-old Kew man was taken into police custody this afternoon.

He was wanted for questioning after the body of a 29-year-old woman was found inside a unit on High Street at about 1.40pm on July 5.

Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
