Man treats sick wife to surprise flash mob performance for 10th wedding anniversary
A British man has celebrated ten years of marriage by surprising his sick wife with a flash mob performance of the Bruno Mars song “Just the Way You Are”.
Video of Carl Gilbertson’s tribute to wife Laura, who suffers from the debilitating condition multiple sclerosis, was posted to the Facebook page Love What Matters yesterday.
The video shows the pair hugging, before a flash mob of Liverpool Media Academy chorus singers standing on an adjacent set of stairs begin to sing.
Overcome with emotion, Ms Gilbertson begins to weep.
Towards the end of the musical number, two women then come forward holding up a poster that reads “Happy Anniversary Laura”.
The camera turns in time to catch the couple sharing an emotional kiss and hug.
The video has since been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
