His 24-year-old female passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The hatchback driver, a 19-year-old man, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the same hospital.

His 20-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries and was treated at the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital.

Police closed Nursery Road for a short time to examine the scene, and have since re-opened the street.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing, and police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone with dashcam footage of the crash.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
