Teen fighting for life with fractured skull and bleeding on brain after Adelaide assault

A 19-year-old man is fighting for life in hospital after allegedly being assaulted in Adelaide's CBD. 

The Morphett Vale man suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain after the brawl outside the Rosemont Hotel on Hindley Street at about 2am.

A 21-year-old Morphett Vale man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault causing serious harm.

It wasn't the only scuffle on a violent night in the city centre, with a man stabbed in a separate incident on North Terrace.

Emergency crews were called to the corner of Pulteney Street and North Terrace at around 10.30pm after a brawl erupted between a group of people.

A 23-year-old man was stabbed in the lower abdomen during the scuffle, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A second person is also in hospital after being punched during the fight.

Six were arrested, including a 21-year-old man, two 22-year-old men, a 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman.

They were all charged with aggravated affray and bailed, to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates court on November 14.
