Man charged over Gold Coast stab murder

A man has been charged with murder after another man was stabbed to death at a party on the Gold Coast.
Police were called to a disturbance at an apartment on Heron Ave, Mermaid Beach, just before 10.30pm (AEST) on Saturday.
When they arrived, a 32-year-old was being treated by paramedics for a stab wound in his torso.

The man died at the scene a short time later.
A 40-year-old man has been charged with his murder and is due to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
