Drive-by reports after Sydney man shot

A man has been shot in the leg in a busy western Sydney street.

Emergency services were called to the corner of South Street and Railway Parade at Granville just after 4pm (AEDT) on Thursday, where they found a man, 28, bleeding from a gunshot wound to the leg.

It's been reported two shots had been fired from a passing car.

The 28-year-old has been taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition and his injuries have been described as non-life threatening.

Police say they have arrested a man at the scene for allegedly hindering officers.
