Man shot in the eye on Gold Coast street

A man has been shot in the face in a driveway on the Gold Coast.
Police found the man with an injury to his eye in Roe Street, Upper Coomera, about 8am today.
The 36-year-old victim was shot after a white hatchback pulled up in the street, 9NEWS understands.
He sought help from a neighbour, who called Triple Zero and performed first aid.
He was then taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have launched a search for two men believed to have been involved in the shooting and on the run. All the men are believed to be known to each other.
Investigators are also working to identify a motive.
There have been no recent shootings in the area.
