Man sets fire to SA police station in full view of bystanders

A 19-year-old Port Lincoln man has faced court today after allegedly setting the front of a local police station alight.
The man was arrested last night after allegedly pouring petrol across the closed station and setting fire to it just before 9pm.
The alleged arsonist was filmed by a bystander walking away from the scene.

However, he was soon spotted by a passing office and detained.
The station’s front doors received fire damage in the attack. No one was hurt.
The 19-year-old was subsequently charged with property damage and fronted court today.
The man’s reasons for setting the fire are not yet known.
