A man has been hospitalised after he was allegedly robbed and assaulted following a car crash in Dianella, Perth.

At about 5.55pm yesterday, a white ute with a black bull bar, and a silver Holden Commodore sedan, were involved in a minor traffic crash at the intersection of Alexander Drive and Woodrow Avenue.

The driver of the ute allegedly then approached the 55-year-old man driving the Holden Commodore, seriously assaulted from him and stole from him.

The 55-year-old was taken to hospital after he was injured in the attack.

The driver of the ute is described as having an olive complexion and was wearing a surgical mask.

Anybody with information that could identify the ute and the driver, including mobile phone, CCTV, or dashcam footage of the intersection between 5.50pm and 6.30pm yesterday is urged to upload it to investigators online.
