Police treating death of man found in park in Perth's north as suspected murder

Police are appealing for information after a man’s body was found in a popular park in Perth’s northern suburbs.

The man’s body was found in parkland off James Spiers Drive in Wanneroo by a member of the public just before 10am today.

The death is being treated by police as a suspected homicide, and Major Crime Squad detectives are investigating.

The man is believed to be aged between 25 and 40.

A significant area of the park has been cordoned off by police as forensic crews search for evidence.

The park is popular with walkers, joggers and cyclists, and police wish to speak to anyone who has been in the area in the past few days.
