Man rescued from burning car in Adelaide

The 19-year-old sustained injuries to his land and leg. 

A driver has had a lucky escape after being rescued from a burning car in the Adelaide suburb of Seaford Rise last night.

The 19-year-old man was pulled to safety from his car, which had burst into flames after colliding with a tree.

He sustained injuries to his hand and leg in the crash.

A second man, who was a passenger, was uninjured and managed to free himself from the wreckage.

Police found the Ford ute while patrolling Main South Road about 8.50pm last night.

Both men were treated at the scene before being taken to Flinders Medical Centre.

Main South Road was closed for several hours while police investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash and fire crews extinguished the blaze.
