Man dies after being pulled from the water at Sydney beach

A man has died after being pulled from the water at a beach in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Police and ambulance officers were called to Redleaf Beach in Double Bay about 1pm to help a man in his 70s.
Paramedics started CPR on the man, but he died at the scene, NSW Police said.

It is unclear whether he drowned or suffered a medical episode.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
