A man charged with selling the ecstasy that killed 19-year-old Georgina Bartter at a music festival last year has pleaded not guilty.
Matthew Forti is accused of selling the drugs to Rebecca Hannibal, one of Georgina’s close friends, who allegedly supplied them to her before the Harbourlife festival on November 8.
Ms Bartter died after suffering an adverse reaction to the “purple speaker” pill.
Friends and family have remembered Ms Bartter as a vivacious, intelligent and beautiful young woman who had made a split-second lapse in judgment.
After entering the plea at Downing Centre Local court this morning, Mr Forti was referred to a program that treats drug and alcohol problems.
He is due to return to court in May.
