Man making threats from bus triggers evacuations in Esperance

A man has barricaded himself inside a bus in Esperance, and is believed to have told police he has a bomb.

Police said the man is acting in a unpredictable manner in the private bus on the intersection of Windich Street, Forrest Street and James Street.

No one else is believed to be on-board the bus.

9NEWS understands the man has told police he had a bomb.

Esperance Boulevard and the immediate vicinity around the bus have been evacuated and are in lockdown.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area until further notice, police said.
