Man injured in Sydney home invasion

A man has been assaulted by three attackers during a home invasion in Sydney's south.

The 31-year-old answered a knock on his door at about 4.40am on Tuesday and the men forced their way in to his Dandenong Crescent home in Ruse, a police spokeswoman said.

He has a number of cuts to the head and is being assessed by paramedics., she said.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the man has been transported to Campbelltown Hospital.
