Man in induced coma with head injuries after violent gang assault in Adelaide

A man has been left with broken ribs and head injuries after being bashed by a group of men in Elizabeth South, in Adelaide's north.
The man was attacked after he was involved in a verbal altercation with a group of men on Hill Street around 10.45pm yesterday.
He was taken to Lyell McEwin Hospital before being transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

It is believed he has been placed in an induced coma to reduce damage from the head injuries.
Police do not believe the attack is random.
One man was arrested at the scene for a separate matter of parole board warrant.
