A man whose car exploded as he tried to start it in his Melbourne driveway has been seriously injured.
The man suffered serious leg injuries in the explosion in the northern suburb of Dallas on Thursday, Ambulance Victoria spokesman Paul Bentley said.

"A man aged in his 30s is being treated by paramedics for serious leg injuries," he said.
Metropolitan Fire Brigade Commander Trevor Woodward said police had established a crime scene.
