Man hurt in first aid demonstration fail

A man has suffered a painful injury while pretending to be hurt in a first aid demonstration after a clumsy paramedic knocked a bookshelf onto his face.

As a group of young children look on, the victim can be seen lying on the ground to simulate an accident scene.

But he soon calls out in genuine pain after the man leading the demonstration topples the piece of furniture, which slams his head against the ground.

Lucky for the poor victim a first aid expert was close by.

An awkward silence descends on the room as people rush to help the hapless volunteer.

"We need you," a man says the paramedic.

"For real," another person says.

The victim can be seen holding his head but appears to be okay despite the heavy knock.
