Man found with multiple stab wounds in Silverwater in Sydney's west

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Sydney's west.

Emergency services were called to a home in Silverwater this morning after a resident reported hearing a man screaming outside, police said.

The man was rushed to Westmead Hospital after being found with stab wounds to his chest, back and stomach.

Police believe the attack may have happened on a nearby street, with detectives and the dog unit combing the area.
